Dear Families of Randolph High School,

We have been made aware that the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston has been closed due to library employees potential exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19). In their statement the JFK Library said, “Neither of the library employees have shown symptoms and both are in self-quarantine. The risk of transmission is low, we are notifying the public out of an abundance of caution.” The museum’s guidance is for anyone who visited the museum between March 2nd and March 11th to monitor their health.

Twenty-six (26) Randolph High School Students and two (2) faculty chaperones visited the JFK Library last Friday, March 6th. After a close collaboration with both the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Randolph Board of Health, we have determined that the closing of any schools and/or public buildings in Randolph is not necessary at this time. Staff and students at RHS are at a very low risk, but we are reminding everyone to continue to monitor their health. If families choose to monitor their children from home, we will respect that decision. Our maintenance staff continues to disinfect and clean the school – all schools – with increased attention and vigilance.

    Stay healthy and safe,

    Thea R. Stovell
