The following information is being shared with regards to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. This information has also been shared with Randolph Public Schools (RPS). Central Office has communicated with local Health Department officials and has also participated in state-wide efforts and initiatives to help inform PK-12 school districts across the Commonwealth.
Information about Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) for travelers
Someone's risk for COVID-19 is closely tied to their recent travel history, and the travel histories of their immediate contacts — specifically, travel to areas with community transmission of COVID-19 or close contact with a person confirmed to have COVID-19. Relevant travel history is being updated on the CDC website: Coronavirus Disease 2019 Information for Travel
Anyone who has recently traveled to any countries of high-level transmission (China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Japan as of March 2nd, 2020) should contact the Massachusetts State Epidemiology (MSE) line at (617) 983-6800.
Anyone having symptoms of respiratory illness and/or fever should:
Stay home when sick and contact their health care provider, and to remember to:
• Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve.
• Wash hands with soap and water.
• Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects (for example, TV remotes and computers).
