Springboard Academics - How We Make a Difference
Springboard's dedication to education is what sets us apart. It starts with our crucial academic help. Springboard provides tutoring and academic support to your students with professional teachers as part of our daily program. Springboard students will increase their skill and academic performance in reading, writing and mathematical problem solving through guided homework instruction and immediate feedback. This support helps students increase their academic proficiency in school. This benefits the students, the parents and the school - it's a win/win for all.
Our Approach to Homework and Schoolwork
Our goal is not only to make sure your child's homework is complete, but that it's completely understood. That's a big difference. Our teachers are certified teachers, not volunteers, high school students or care providers, and we offer a truly unique academic component to after school. On a daily basis, in small groups, your child receives crucial academic assistance. Our teachers understand your school's curriculum and work in conjunction with your child's school teachers to ensure that your child understands the concepts being taught in class each day. And if they don't our teachers will work to correct the problem along with notify the child's classroom teacher so that everyone is on the same page.

Kindergarten
A child who is five years old on or before August 31st is eligible for kindergarten in September of that year. Randolph's kindergarten offers a full day program from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The Randolph Public Schools kindergarten program encompass a broad range of developmentally appropriate learning activities. Parents/guardians are encouraged to enroll their children in kindergarten when they are age appropriate. Pre-registration usually takes place in November followed by an informational night in January and actual registration in February. Informational materials are sent to all parents/guardians known to have eligible children. Proof of residency, birth certificate, all immunization records, and a recent physical examination are required.
Massachusetts State Law requires that school systems provide screening for all students who are of age to enter kindergarten in September. The purpose of the screening is to identify children who may need extra help once in kindergarten or who may need a different type of program. In the Spring before children enter kindergarten the classroom teacher, assisted by the special services staff screens all kindergarteners. Children will be screened in the areas of speech and language, cognition and thinking, perception and fine and gross motor coordination. Parents/guardians are informed of the screening results only if there are concerns.
